Sarkodie has finally responded to tweets from Stonebwoy suggesting that he and Shatta Wale are ‘fake friends.'
Sarkodie was speaking in an interview with Nigerian media personality, Adesope Olajide when he dismissed the claims that the post was directed at him and fellow aratiste, Shatta Wale.
Stonebwoy shared a post on X criticizing two people who pretend to be friends for personal interest, concluding that even the devil hates that.
Fans who saw the post quickly linked it to Shatta Wale and Sarkodie who were seen together at Kweku Smoke’s event in the United Kingdom.
According to Sarkodie, he did not have to respond to the comment based on assumptions because the post did not mention his name nor that of Shatta Wale.
"Let me be honest, I would like to hear it directly from him if it's about Shatta Wale and me. But if he puts out a tweet, maybe people are linking it to the timing of what we did. I've been there several times. There was a time I literally sent one of my boys to get me gari, and people thought I was talking about the president.
"So I don't want to play that game where my brother says something, and everyone assumes they know exactly what he means. If I meet him or he texts me and says this is what he meant, then I'll know how to speak to him. But I don't want to delve into assumptions because I haven't had a conversation with him to know exactly what he was talking about," he said.
Sarkodie further called such speculations as a distraction from actual hard work and progress, something Ghanaians must look past.
"Over the years, whenever Ghana has a beautiful moment, something always comes up to distract from it. You may think it's funny, but I believe we need serious prayers.
