Following the recent heavy rains that caused significant flooding in some areas of the capital, Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang will visit flood-affected communities today, Friday, June 5.
The purpose of the tour is to evaluate the extent of the damage, engage with impacted residents, and gather firsthand knowledge of the difficulties the communities are facing.
In order to obtain a better understanding of the situation on the ground and ongoing relief efforts, the Vice President will interact with local authorities, emergency response personnel, and community leaders during the visit.
The visit is a component of the government's commitment to quickly attending to the needs of those impacted, organising relief efforts, and collaborating with pertinent parties to put policies in place meant to lessen the effects of floods and stop it from happening again.
