Ghanaian comedian and actor Funny Face has opened up about one of the darkest moments in his life, revealing that he once felt tired of living and even wanted to die due to his struggles with depression.

Speaking during an emotional interview with Kula, the entertainer reflected on the mental and emotional battles he faced during the peak of his public breakdowns and personal struggles.

According to Funny Face, the pressure, loneliness, heartbreak and public criticism pushed him into a painful state where he lost hope in life. He admitted that there were moments he questioned his existence and felt completely drained mentally and emotionally.

“I wanted to die; I was tired of life,” he painfully shared during the conversation, highlighting how serious his depression became at the time.

The comedian also spoke about the importance of mental health awareness, especially among men, stressing that many people silently go through emotional struggles while pretending to be okay in public.

Over the years, Funny Face’s struggles have played out publicly on social media, drawing concern from fans, celebrities, and industry colleagues. However, his latest interview appears to show a more reflective side of the actor as he continues his journey toward healing and recovery.

Many fans have since reacted to the interview with messages of encouragement, praising him for being honest about depression and mental health challenges, conversations that are still heavily stigmatized in many African societies.

Funny Face remains one of Ghana’s most recognizable comic figures, known for his contribution to comedy, television, and entertainment over the years.
