International rapper Ja Rule, in collaboration with Pencils of Promise (PoP), has funded and completed a six-unit classroom block with auxiliary facilities at St John’s Anglican Basic School in Nuaso, located in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of Ghana’s Eastern Region.

The project, officially inaugurated on April 1st, 2025, aims to provide quality education and better learning conditions for pupils who previously endured harsh conditions due to inadequate facilities. Heavy rainstorms had destroyed the old classroom block, forcing students and teachers into a shift system that negatively impacted education through reduced contact hours, absenteeism, and low enrolment rates.

Ja Rule, known for his philanthropy, expressed his excitement on Instagram, stating: "Nuaso, we did it… Thank you to my partners @pencilsofpromise. The work y’all do is unparalleled, but the effects will be felt for generations!!! Ghana, love y’all…”
Ahead of the ceremony, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo and President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, to acknowledge the community's support.
With this new development, pupils at Nuaso Anglican Primary School will now benefit from a conducive learning environment, marking a significant step toward improving education in underserved communities.
