Award-winning rapper Sarkodie has described dancehall artiste Shatta Wale as a nice and sincere person whom he admires.
Sarkodie noted that Shatta Wale is an artiste he could work with in the absence of friendship, in an interview with Nigerian media personality, Adesope Olajide.
According to the You & I singer, he and Shatta Wale’s friendship goes way back and although he does not agree with him sometimes, he respects his views.
"I could do business with Wale without necessarily being friends or talking back-to-back, but we actually have a great time whenever we hang out," he said.
Sarkodie said the dancehall artiste is outspoken and ready to call others out publicly unlike him who chooses to deal with issues diplomatically.
"I am more action-driven than words. If there's an issue, I would rather sit down with the person and talk about it. Shatta, on the other hand, will call the person out publicly," he said.
"I would tell him, 'Go and say it and I'll do it,' because he would say it and get away with it," Sarkodie said with a laugh.
He said he has never been angry at the SM boss for anything he has ever said about him but rather a big fan of his outbursts on social media.
"I know he's not serious. Shatta will insult you today, and tomorrow he's fine. The way his facial expression looks makes people think he's serious, but he's not. So, I'll laugh, record the video, and send it to him," he said.
Sarkodie’s comment have elaborated on the cordial relationship both artiste enjoy beyond the banters on the media, highlighting healthy relationships can co-exist with industry misunderstandings.
