Gospel Musician Bernice Offei Has Transitioned To Glory

Ghanaian gospel music legend Bernice Offei has allegedly passed away at the age of 63.

She is known for songs including Hold On, Life Is Short, and Kaa She Gbeyei.

No official confirmation from her family, representatives has been issued.

Earlier this month, Offei was briefly reported missing. She was last seen on September 1, 2026, around Nyaho-Tamakloe Street in the Agbogba area of Accra. Family and colleagues issued public appeals for information. 

Within about 24 hours, updates confirmed she had been found and was safe.

Bernice Offei was an award-winning gospel artiste and former banker. She has released several albums and won Best Female Vocal Performance and Songwriter of the Year at the 2009 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. She was married to Prof. Samuel Kwame Offei and was a mother of two.
