Apple today officially unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at its “Surprise and Shine” event, marking the first major product launch led by new CEO John Ternus.

Ternus, who assumed the role on September 1 after succeeding Tim Cook, introduced the new flagship phones. The devices feature the A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process, a 48MP main camera with variable aperture, and what Apple calls the longest battery life ever in an iPhone. The Pro Max offers up to 30 hours of video playback and faster charging.

Available in deep black, silver, glacier, and burgundy finishes with color-matched glass backs, the phones emphasize enhanced performance for Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features.

The standard iPhone 18 models are expected next year. Pre-orders for the Pro series are anticipated to open soon, with availability later this month.
