Ghanaian hitmakers DopeNation have asserted that they were not created to fit into the Ghanaian music industry.
However, through experimentation and boundary-breaking, the twins said they rather came to shape the industry.
They made this bold statement on the Big Convo Segment of Culture Daily on 3Music TV and Pluzz 89.9 FM.
"I mean, I feel like I've been created to break boundaries to make new stuff. I wasn't created for the industry. I was created to shape the industry,” B2 said.
They also argued that Ghanaian artistes must stop overthinking and instead focus on active creation and consistency to gain global recognition, suggesting that the industry's focus on "wisdom" and debate often hinders progress compared to action.
“The last time we came here for an interview, I said this and I'll say it again; we are too wise. Every Ghanaian is very wise, that's our problem. We deep it too much, music would evolve so even if someone wakes up tomorrow and say I've created something something genre somewhere, allow it,” Twist said.
"There's no action and the action requires movement, investments, consistency and all that we need,” B2 added.
“One or two controversies here and there will keep the songs going and whatever but it's like that come turn the job now"
