3Music has today announced a long star-studded list of artists billed to perform at the show's 5th edition. Black Sherif, KiDi, Cina Soul, s3fa and Kuami Eugene headline the long list of performers.
Apart from Gospel giants Joe Mettle and Ohemaa Mercy, several rising stars like Mona 4Reall, Ria Boss, and Kweku Darlington will also grace the grand 3Music stage. Many more surprises are also expected when the show airs on March 26 at the Grand Arena, Accra.
3Music is the most anticipated music celebration in Africa, having forged a reputation for electrifying shows and trailblazing concepts. This year the show will introduce a Pre-show event featuring the novel Drip Carpet, surprise performances from stars, and other fun activities.
The hour-long made-for-TV special is fashioned to premiere as a full-throttle entertainment package to reward early patrons, as well as a curtain-raiser and spark for the main night.
38 awards are up for grabs at this year's 3Music Awards, including the coveted Artiste of the Year crown. Last year's winner KiDi is in contention with eight others for the gong, including Black Sherif, Gyakie, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy.
The latter duo is also previous winners, but no artiste has ever won the coveted prize twice. KiDi is aspiring to become the first person to win it consecutively.
The 5th annual 3Music Awards airs on Saturday, March 26 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre. The show will simulcast at 7 pm on 3Music TV and its affiliate channels, as well as official 3Music handles on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
