Socialite cum Singer Mona 4Reall made history when she won the emerging woman of the year award. She thus joins an illustrious company to scoop the gong, such as Adina and Gyakie.
It was the first time ever in Ghanaian music that a socialite had won an important music award. Mona’s win was even more impressive considering that she obtained a whopping 91% of the votes cast, testament to the phenomenal year that she has had.

The curvy singer became the first female rookie to release six major hits within the same calendar year. She scored more than 20 million streams across all digital streaming platforms. Five of her music videos- Baby, Hit, Badder Than, GimmeThat and Hero- have amassed over a million views each on video streaming platform, YouTube.

The feat positioned her as the second-highest grossing female in
terms of streams, behind Gyakie, who also won the Emerging Woman of the Year crown
last year. This time, Gyakie went one better, scooping the early prize- the prestigious
Woman of the Year award.
Gyakie also was also announced among the Top 50 Women In Music-
Africa, a music gazette launched this year to commemorate the International
Women’s Day and expected to be released annually to celebrate the accomplishments
of women in music show business.
