Excitement is building as the globally recognised, Arian Simone, announced the official launch of Fearless Fund Africa during a conversation with Lerny Lomotey on WOMAN.
Set to take place on Saturday, March 21st, the highly anticipated kickoff event will be held at the Accra Marriott Hotel, with doors opening at 10 a.m. The event is expected to bring together entrepreneurs, investors and innovators for a day focused on funding, collaboration and growth.
Speaking on the show, Arian Simone expressed her excitement about introducing Fearless Fund Africa to the continent, describing the launch as a major milestone. “This is our official kickoff to introduce Fearless Fund Africa to the world,” she said, highlighting the organisation’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs through both funding and education.
A key feature of the initiative is its microfinance program, which will provide financial support ranging from GHS 10,000 to GHS 30,000, disbursed over 30, 60, or 90 days. In addition, the launch will host a live pitch competition where selected entrepreneurs will present their businesses for a chance to win GHS 100,000.
The pitch competition has already attracted a pool of applicants, with finalists selected through a structured evaluation process conducted by an independent committee. According to Simone, businesses were assessed based on four main criteria: the strength of their brand story, product quality, market traction and the strength of their team.
Beyond funding, the event is also positioned as a networking platform, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with potential investors, partners and like-minded entrepreneurs. Simone emphasised that one of the most exciting aspects of the event is engaging directly with people and discovering new opportunities within the local market.
Attendance is open to the public, although registration is required through the official Fearless Fund website via an Eventbrite link. While the event is free, prospective attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance.
With its blend of funding opportunities, live pitches and community engagement, the launch of Fearless Fund Africa marks a significant step toward empowering entrepreneurs across Ghana and the wider continent.
