Nigerian actress Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as Bam Bam, says she is looking forward to performing in No Man of God: The Musical in Ghana, describing the production as “Broadway Ghana” and promising audiences a unique theatre experience.

Speaking on the Big Convo segment of the Culture Daily Morning Show on 3Music TV and Pluzz 89.9 FM, the actress said she was eager to experience the production both as a performer and as a member of the audience.

“I’ve told them to design the event so that I participate as a viewer before I perform,” she said, explaining that she wanted to take in the production before going on stage.

Bam Bam, who has previously appeared in stage productions in Nigeria, South Africa and the UK, said theatre remains one of her favourite forms of performance.

“I love music. I love stage and theatre and performance. It’s electrifying, she said.

Describing the production as “Broadway Ghana”, she said she was looking forward to rehearsals and to sharing the stage with Ghanaian actor Majid Michel.

The actress also encouraged her Ghanaian fans to attend the show, saying she hoped to meet audience members after the performance.

“I’m so excited to be here in Ghana. I can’t wait to see you all,” she said.

Bam Bam is in Ghana for the production after previously filming No Man of God, a project she described as her first Pan-African film outside Nigeria.
