Outspoken artiste manager, Bullgod, had MzGee to contend with after an attempt to denigrate the credibility of all music awards schemes, especially in Ghana.
The duo was on set with Nana Lion on the 3Music Awards 22 Diaries show when Bullgod alleged that all music awards schemes were nothing but political scheming by the music hierarchy to force their personal favorites down the throats of the fans.

MzGee, herself a Board Member of the 3Music Awards took strong objection to the allegation, describing Bullgod’s submissions as ‘not true’.
“I am a member of an Awards scheme, the 3Music Awards, and I can tell you honestly that nominations are based on science and data, and the sincere state of the industry. The scheme is wholly objective. Board members, who only account for 30% of the votes debate the legitimacy of each entry on a case-by case basis. The board only put out the nominees. But the actual winners are largely determined by the fans”, MzGee affirmed.

Bullgod’s war with awards schemes began in 2013 following a perceived injustice by the national music awards against Shatta Wale, an artiste he was managing at the time.
And after nearly a decade, nothing much has changed. The charismatic boss of the Bullhaus Entertainment Record Label altered his name from Bulldog to Bullgod in 2020. Yet it seems when it comes to his war on Awards schemes, he still has no intention to let sleeping dogs lie.
