Camidoh’s TrustnGod EP Redefines Resilience with Spiritual Depth and Creative Control

Ghanaian artiste Camidoh has dropped his highly anticipated six-track EP, TRUSTN GOD released on July 25, 2025, and discussed its profound inspiration during a candid interview on 3Music TV’s The Big Conversation. The project, a fusion of Afro-pop, highlife, and R&B, reflects Camidoh’s journey through personal turmoil, spiritual renewal, and artistic reinvention.

In the interview, Camidoh revealed that 2024 was a “turbulent” year marked by heartbreak, depression, and the scrapping of an entire album. “Everything I planned just turned upside down,” he said, describing how therapy and a newfound reliance on faith helped him navigate a dark period. The EP’s title was inspired by a late fan, Auntie Gifty, whose encouraging voice notes guided him to trust in divine timing. Her voice is featured on the title track, TUSTN GOD though she tragically passed before hearing the final work.

Camidoh took full creative control, overseeing the EP’s production and artwork, which depicts him in a deserted building illuminated by a single ray of light—a metaphor for hope amid despair. Tracks like THEY KNOW I'M BLESSED, featuring Apostle Joshua Selman’s sermon, and YOUR GHOST, inspired by the loss of a childhood friend, showcase his emotional depth. A collaboration with Stonebwoy on MANY MANY THINGS highlights his ability to blend talents while drawing industry wisdom from the veteran artiste. Other tracks, such as AYEKOO and LOWKEY, add highlife and dancehall vibes, respectively, to the EP’s diverse sound.

Addressing his brief hiatus, Camidoh acknowledged the fast-paced music industry’s pressures but emphasized staying grounded through faith and creativity. “I’m back in the game,” he declared, promising fans more music and potential tours. With Trust And God, Camidoh not only reaffirms his status as a trailblazer—celebrated for hitting 100 million YouTube streams with Sugarcane (Remix)—but also sets the stage for a bold new chapter in his career
