Cardi B’s OUTSIDE Hits #1 on Apple Music as She Teases Major Announcement

 Cardi B is back and how? Her fiery new single OUTSIDE has surged to the #1 spot on US Apple Music, her first reign since 2021’s UP. Released on June 20th, the track blends hard-hitting beats from Charlie Heat and HeyMicki with Cardi’s signature, unfiltered lyrics widely interpreted as a baring of raw emotions amid her public separation from Offset. She debuted the song live at Spotify’s Cannes event on June 18th.

Despite initial hesitation Cardi admitted she told Atlantic Records she didn’t want to release the track and labeled herself “bratty” over it—fan clamor led to its launch and her claiming the top spot  .

On June 22nd, Cardi B took to Instagram with a dramatic teaser clip; decked in a black gown, surrounded by ominous crows and a caption that read:

“TIMES UP. I got an announcement to make tomorrow.”   

In the video, she declares:

“Seven years of love, life and loss … now I give them hell … I’m not back, I’m beyond … I’m your karma.”  

This has fans and media buzzing that Cardi B is about to unveil her long-awaited sophomore album, a follow-up to her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy. 

With OUTSIDE dominating Apple Music and her dramatic Instagram tease scheduled for June 23rd, expectations are high for what she’ll announce next perhaps the official release date or lead single for her second album.

Between live-streamed chart-topping, unfiltered lyricism, and a cryptic countdown, Cardi B is shaping up for a major comeback. Stay tuned.
