Ghanaian DJ and entrepreneur, DJ Mensah, officially unveiled his new sound production facility, The Play House Studios, over the weekend in East Legon. The launch marked a major step in his evolution from DJing and event curation into music production and creative development.
The new studio is expected to function as a hub for recording, production and artistic collaboration, further contributing to Ghana’s growing music ecosystem.
The launch event attracted several notable figures from the industry, including award-winning rapper Sarkodie, rising artiste Jubed and legendary producer Kaywa. Videos from the ceremony showed Sarkodie playing a key role in the commissioning, joining DJ Mensah for the official ribbon-cutting.
The atmosphere blended celebration with strong industry support, as creatives gathered to mark the occasion and connect within the space. Live moments from the event also captured performances and interactions, with Sarkodie energising attendees through a surprise performance during the launch.
Beyond being a recording facility, The Play House Studios is positioning itself as a creative hub designed to foster collaboration and innovation within Ghana’s evolving music scene.
