Hollywood actor, Michael B. Jordan, is stepping into a new creative space as he lends his voice to the upcoming animated film SWAPPED, set to premiere on May 1st, 2026. Ahead of the release, behind-the-scenes clips showing the actor in the recording booth have surfaced online, offering fans a glimpse into his transition from live-action performances to voice acting.
The project marks a fresh chapter for Jordan following a string of acclaimed on-screen roles, as he takes on a leading role in a family-friendly animated adventure.
SWAPPED is a 3D animated buddy comedy directed by Nathan Greno and produced by Skydance Animation. The story centres on Ollie, a small woodland creature voiced by Jordan and Ivy, a majestic bird voiced by Juno Temple. Despite being natural enemies, the pair mysteriously swap bodies after a magical encounter, forcing them to work together on a journey to reverse the spell while adapting to life in each other’s worlds.
The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Tracy Morgan and Cedric the Entertainer, adding humour and personality to the adventure.
Blending comedy, action and themes of empathy and understanding, SWAPPED has been described as a “Freaky Friday-style” story set in the wild, making it appealing to both younger audiences and families alike.
As anticipation builds ahead of its May 1st debut on Netflix, Michael B. Jordan’s involvement continues to generate excitement, positioning SWAPPED as one of the platform’s most anticipated animation releases of the year.
