Beyond weddings and corporate hosting, Dave Lamptey is expanding his creative footprint with VOICES AND VIBES, a live entertainment and networking experience set to take place at Cello Restaurant & Bar.
Described as more than a traditional karaoke night, VOICES AND VIBES blends music, performance and social connection in an intimate lounge setting designed for professionals, creatives and music lovers alike.
“Some people call it karaoke,” Dave explained. “But this is different. It’s an executive mic night where if your voice can’t create the vibe, your vibe will polish your voice.”
The concept is built around participation rather than perfection. Attendees are encouraged to take ownership of the mic, whether they are trained singers or simply looking to unwind after a long work week. According to Dave, the aim is to create a relaxed environment where music becomes a bridge for networking and expression.
Set against the cosy ambience of Cello Restaurant & Bar, the event attracts a diverse crowd from corporate executives and managers to creatives and aspiring professionals, making it as much about connection as entertainment.
In addition to live performances, the night offers curated cocktails, signature drinks and table reservations, with sections of the venue reserved for group experiences and premium viewing.
Dave also highlighted Cello Restaurant & Bar’s openness to hosting intimate events, noting that patrons can access the space at no cost, provided food and beverages are purchased in-house.
“This is about community,” he said. “Music, conversation, networking and relaxation, all in one space.”
VOICES AND VIBES takes place on Friday, positioning it as an ideal end-of-week escape for Accra’s growing professional and creative community.
