Singer and rapper Feli Nuna said she
has taken it upon herself to interact with some well-to-do female personalities
in her quest for them to invest in the music industry especially in females.
In an interaction on 3Music TV's Culture Daily, the Gellaway hitmaker said she
has not been getting any positive feedback with her encounter with these
personalities.
"I have approached some women before and majority have not been as positive. However, I have some big women that have supported me some way, somehow but there are some too that don’t mind you. I know they know my struggles so that empathy should be there. If you do not have money to invest, you can make a call or as little as reposting a story on your platform because you have people that look up to you."
On the contrary, Feli’s cry for more
females to invest in the music industry comes after facing a lot of sex demands
from some men in the industry. During the interview, she revealed that in
shooting the music video for Bum Bum, which was released a month ago, a
videographer was asking for sex before shooting the music video. She however
rejected this offer and called on another person. The singer recalled instances where men asked for
sex in exchange for their services even though they will get paid.
The Black Star Barbie further said she will continue to knock on the doors of well-to-do females, believing that if there are more women investors, female talents will have the shoulders to lean on when men demand for sex.
The talented rapper and singer also revealed her plans of releasing an EP this year.
