The family of late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo Baah has announced that her final funeral rites will be held on August 7, 2026, nearly three months after her passing at the age of 42.
According to details released by the family during her one-week remembrance observance, the funeral and burial ceremony will take place at the Lashibi Funeral Home in the Greater Accra Region.
The announcement was made as family members, colleagues and admirers gathered in Tema on May 30 to celebrate the life of the actress and entrepreneur.
The remembrance service drew several figures from Ghana’s entertainment industry, who joined relatives and friends to pay their respects.
Beverly's death, which was confirmed by her husband, musician Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster, shocked many within the creative arts industry. The actress died on May 24, just days before her 43rd birthday.
During the one-week observance, mourners participated in prayers, tributes, and other memorial activities in honour of the actress, whose death has triggered an outpouring of grief from colleagues and fans.
Beverly Afaglo built a career spanning film, television, and entrepreneurship. She featured in a number of Ghanaian productions and was known for roles in movies including Return of Beyonce, Crime to Christ, Single Six and About to Wed.
Her passing has been widely mourned across the entertainment industry, with tributes continuing to pour in as preparations begin for her final send-off in August.
