MTN Hitmaker 6 winner, Freda Ryhmz has released a new single titled Don’t Kiss Me. Speaking to the Culture Squad, the talented rapper said the song is about the betrayal and disloyalty she faced in and out of the music industry. The song which was written when she went off the music scene is to tell people to keep it real with her.
"I trusted a couple of people, I thought everybody was my friend, I thought everybody was friendly and as genuine as I am, I gave certain people chances to be in my life." She continued by saying "Its part of life so I am just talking about disloyalty, keeping it real with people. For me I like to keep this real. You don’t have to trust people hundred percent."
This new single comes after Freda released Questions as her comeback onto the music scene on February, 9th 2023. The rapper who left the industry for two years further said in the course of chasing her dreams, she became overwhelmed and lost herself.
The former signee of Black Avenue Muzik, Freda Ryhmz, further said in battling with this trauma, she moved out of the country and also listened to music to overcome her depression. She also disclosed that Mzvee, Eno Barony and a few other industry people reached out to her when they realised she was inactive.
"I deleted everything from my socials, that’s the reason why probably they started reaching out. I guess I was doing great in the industry even though I wasn’t where I wanted to be. I feel like I was doing good so people felt my absence so they started calling me.’’
She
continued by telling her fans to keep supporting her music as she is back and
ready to work her way to the top of the music industry.
