Ghana Climbs 8 Places In Latest FIFA World Rankings, Moves To 14th In Africa
The Black Stars have moved eight places to 65th in the latest FIFA World Rankings after an outstanding run in the 2026 World Cup.
The team made it to the Round of 32 of the tournament where they were beaten 1-0 by Colombia to end their campaign for the trophy.
The Black Stars saw the second-largest increase behind Norway, who moved up 12 spots following an exceptional tournament campaign.
Ghana's increase in the rankings comes after reaching the Round of 32, delivering one of the most impressive performances on the global stage of football.
The Black Stars were drawn in Group L alongside strong contenders including England, Croatia in Panama.
The team ended the group games with 4 points making them the best third-place team.
On the African continent, Ghana has climbed to the 14th position, marking a good start for the Black Stars ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFC
ON) qualifiers.
