The Ghana Tourism Development Co. (GTDC) lit up the streets of the capital last Friday evening with the third edition of its innovative Accra By Night tour, a captivating journey through the heart of the city after dark.



The tour bus, a vibrant double-decker branded with GTA’s tourism colors, departed from the Accra Tourist Information Centre with an excited group of locals and tourists onboard. The evening route took participants on an immersive cultural experience through some of Accra’s most iconic sites; from the historic Jamestown Lighthouse to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, Independence Arch, and the ever-vibrant Osu Night Market.

At each stop, participants soaked in the city’s beauty, history, and urban nightlife. A highlight of the tour was the final destination; The Alley Bar, where live music, dancing, and social activities brought the night to a celebratory close.

The Accra By Night tour is part of the Ghana Tourism Authority’s broader efforts to promote domestic tourism and celebrate Accra’s growing 24-hour economy. The initiative was launched in April and now runs on the last Friday of every month.

The Accra By Night tour continues to gain popularity as a unique and curated nightlife experience, bridging heritage, culture, and entertainment in one memorable ride.
