At its highly anticipated “Awe-Dropping” event on September 9th, 2025, Apple revealed its most ambitious iPhone lineup in years: the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, heralding a bold redesign and significant tech upgrades across the board.

The standout newcomer is the iPhone Air, which replaces the former Plus model and claims the title of the thinnest iPhone ever, measuring a mere 5.6 mm thick thanks to a polished grade-5 titanium frame.

Despite its slim profile, the iPhone Air delivers striking durability, all-day battery life, and robust performance. It features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR ProMotion display with 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, while the new Ceramic Shield 2 offers enhanced scratch and drop protection.
Powered by Apple’s latest A19 Pro chip, along with the N1 networking chip and C1X modem, the iPhone Air delivers smooth performance and advanced, high-speed connectivity.
All models including the base iPhone 17, now feature 48 MP Fusion rear cameras and an 18 MP Center Stage front camera, enhancing imaging and video capabilities across the range. The iPhone 17 upgrades to a 6.3-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display (up from 6.1 inches), now with 120 Hz ProMotion and improved Ceramic Shield front protection.
Under the hood, all models deploy the A19 chip (base and Air) or A19 Pro (Pro models), offering stronger CPU and GPU performance with energy efficiency to match. The N1 chip also brings next-gen wireless performance—Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support—marking Apple’s departure from third-party chip dependency.
For iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, Apple introduced a new Camera Plateau design housing a triple 48 MP Fusion system with up to 8× optical zoom, ProRes RAW support, and vapor-chamber cooling within a forged aluminum unibody.
