Modernize Agriculture To Make It Attractive To Youth – NSA boss

The Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Ruth Dela Seddoh has appealed to stakeholders in agriculture and agribusiness to adopt innovation and modern techniques to make the sector more attractive to the youth.

At the Ghana Youth Agriculture Summit hosted in Sunyani on Friday, May 22, the NSA boss asserted that agriculture holds major opportunities that could tackle youth unemployment if properly exploited through technology and modern practices.

According to her, emerging technologies are transforming farming systems, making agriculture more productive and efficient.

“Today, technology is changing the face of agriculture through precision farming, drone technology, smart irrigation systems, artificial intelligence, mechanized processing and value addition,” she said.
