Afrobeats superstar Ayra Starr has added another milestone to her fast-rising career with the release of the music video for her latest single, Hot Body. The video has already surpassed one million views on YouTube within just a few days of release, cementing her growing global influence.

Directed by Claire Bishara and filmed in Los Angeles, the visual takes viewers through a stunning mix of luxury yachts, sun-soaked beaches, and vibrant dance sequences. Inspired by late ’90s and early 2000s R&B and hip-hop aesthetics, the video reimagines the era’s flashy visuals through a lens of female empowerment, with Ayra Starr at the center reclaiming the narrative “for women, performed by women, and made for women.”

The single itself is a captivating blend of Afrobeats rhythms, pulsing synth bass, and silky melodies, co-written with Deeno and produced by Ragee and The Elements. Its instant popularity has propelled Hot Body onto the UK Official Afrobeats Chart, marking Starr’s sixth solo Top-5 hit on that platform.

The success of Hot Body adds to what has already been a remarkable year for the 22-year-old star. She recently completed a sold-out stadium tour with Coldplay, became the first Afrobeats artist to perform on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, and picked up major awards including two MOBOs and a BET Award for Best International Act. She has also earned critical acclaim for her collaborations, most notably Gimme Dat with Wizkid, which has crossed millions of streams globally.

With Hot Body making waves both visually and sonically, Ayra Starr continues to cement her place as one of Afrobeats’ most exciting voices on the world stage.
