Ghana’s Creative Industry Gap Is Not Just About Money, But Patriotism -Reggie Rockstone
Reggie Rockstone
Ghanaian music legend Reggie Rockstone has identified a lack of patriotism as one of the major challenges holding back the country’s creative industry.

Speaking on the all-new podcast Group Chat, hosted by media personality Nana Aba Anamoah alongside other Ghanaian musicians, Reggie Rockstone argued that the challenges facing the creative sector go beyond financial limitations.

According to the legendary musician, while money remains an important factor in developing Ghana’s creative industry, the lack of collective support and belief in local talent is an equally significant issue.

He noted that a stronger sense of patriotism among Ghanaians could help create an environment where local creatives, businesses and institutions actively support and promote Ghanaian talent.

Reggie Rockstone’s comments come amid ongoing conversations about the growth of Ghana’s creative economy and the need for greater investment, collaboration and support for local artists and other creatives.
