R&B artiste Giveon is set to release his highly anticipated second studio album, Beloved, on July 11th. In the lead-up to the release, he revealed the full 14-track list through a deeply personal letter shared on his social media, describing the project as “a modern-day love story.”
The handwritten note, addressed “Dear Beloved,” weaves in all 14 song titles while reflecting on themes of heartbreak, memory, and growth. Phrases like “I’d rather be in that chaos again than pretend it meant nothing,” and “maybe we were just an avalanche waiting to happen,” give fans a poetic glimpse into the emotional journey the album promises to deliver. The tracklist includes songs such as MUD, RATHER BE, TWENTIES, STRANGERS, AVALANCHE, and the closing track GOOD, BAD, AND UGLY.
Beloved comes without any features, placing full focus on Giveon’s distinctive voice and lyrical storytelling. The album includes previously released singles TWENTIES and RATHER BE, both of which offer a preview of the album’s introspective tone.
In an earlier announcement, Giveon revealed that the album had been in the works for over 1,000 days, with recording taking place between July 2022 and May 2025. The project includes contributions from producers such as Matthew Burnett, Jahaan Sweet, Sevn Thomas, Maneesh, and Gitty.
The upcoming release follows the success of his 2022 debut album, Give or Take, and marks a new chapter in the singer’s evolution. With no collaborations and a clear narrative arc, Beloved is expected to further solidify Giveon’s place among contemporary R&B’s most heartfelt storytellers.
