Ghanaian alternative sensation Gonaboy has released his highly anticipated 8-track EP, MUNIRU a powerful and introspective body of work that chronicles the struggles, evolution, and inner awakening of a young man determined to break free from society’s limitations.

Described by Gonaboy as a “redefining moment” in both his artistry and personal journey, MUNIRU symbolizes the transition from restriction into self-liberation. He illustrates this transformation through the metaphor of “a young creature growing inside a small box” once comfort becomes confinement, escape becomes the only path to survival and identity.



The EP delves deep into the realities facing today’s youth, touching on themes of ambition, temptation, love, family, fast living, and the pursuit of purpose. With raw storytelling and vivid emotion, Gonaboy mirrors the inner conversations of a generation fighting to rise above fear and uncertainty.

Fusing soulful undertones with afro-fusion rhythms and his signature alternative sound, Muniru offers a compelling sonic experience reflective, rebellious, and resonant.
