Ghanaian Afro-fusion singer Gyakie has released her latest single, SANKOFA, accompanied by a visually striking music video. The song, unveiled on May 23rd, 2025, serves as a poignant prelude to her forthcoming debut album, After Midnight.



SANKOFA a term derived from the Akan language meaning “go back and get it,”. The track showcases Gyakie’s signature blend of soulful melodies and introspective lyrics.

The accompanying music video enhances the song’s narrative, featuring evocative imagery that mirrors the journey of returning to one’s origins. Released under Sony Music Entertainment West Africa, the video has garnered significant attention, amassing over 330,000 views on YouTube within days of its release .
