Miss J Alexander
Iconic runway coach and former America’s Next Top Model judge Miss J Alexander has opened up about a life-changing health struggle in the Netflix documentary Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.

Known for teaching models to strut with confidence on the catwalk, Miss J revealed that he suffered a stroke a few years ago that left him unable to walk.

“I’m the person who taught models how to walk,And now I can’t walk… not yet.”he says in the documentary.

His candid admission highlights the stark contrast between his career of movement and the physical limitations he now faces.

Friends and colleagues from his America’s Next Top Model days have been supportive. Fellow judge Jay Manuel and photographer Nigel Barker visited him in the early stages of recovery and have spoken about his slow but steady progress, including taking steps with assistance during therapy.

The documentary also touches on personal relationships. Miss J revealed that longtime host Tyra Banks has yet to visit him in person since his stroke, though she sent a message expressing her support. This revelation has sparked discussion among fans, highlighting the human stories behind reality television fame.

Reality Check offers a rare glimpse not only into the world behind America’s Next Top Model but also into the personal challenges faced by the people who made it iconic. For Miss J Alexander, it is a story of resilience, determination, and hope, a reminder that even when life forces you to stop, the fight to rise again is never over.

As fans watch, many are rallying behind him, inspired by his message.
