I Use AI To Help Me Write Songs - Perez Musik

Gospel singer Perez Musik has revealed that he uses artificial intelligence (AI) in his song composition process, saying that the technology should be welcomed rather than condemned.

The award-winning artiste stated in an interview on July 21, 2026, that Al has emerged as a useful creative tool that aids in concept development and streamlines song production.

He claims that because Al helps him polish his ideas, he no longer finds it difficult to write songs from scratch.

"Now I don't stress myself to write songs. Some of the songs, when I get the idea, I type it into Al, then Al will give me the idea. If it doesn't give me the idea the way I want it, I will prompt it till I get it right," he said.

He quickly clarified, though, that he doesn't just record Al's lyrics without adding his own original ideas.

Perez Musik went on to say that Al has also made the process of making demos easier by doing away with the necessity to go to a recording studio in the early phases of production.

"Just like those times when you would go to the studio to do a demo, now you don't need to go to the studio. You can just do the demo on your phone, but you need to understand how to prompt it. You arrange everything the way you want it, and it saves you a lot of stress before production and during production," he explained.

The gospel singer advised artistes to see AI as a tool rather than a danger, emphasising that its advantages should not be overshadowed by its abuse.

"Al is really helping, and I don't think we should demonise it. It is a tool, and with every tool, there's a degree of abuse, so people are abusing it," he added.
