Katy Perry Achieves Her 9th Song With Over 1 Billion Streams On Spotify
Katy Perry’s hit single CALIFORNIA GURLS featuring Snoop Dogg, has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. This achievement marks her ninth song to reach this milestone and the fourth track from her 2010 album Teenage Dream to do so. 
Released in May 2010, CALIFORNIA GURLS served as the lead single from Teenage Dream. The song achieved significant commercial success, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
The track’s enduring popularity is further highlighted by its recent streaming milestone, reflecting its lasting impact on pop culture and music fans worldwide.
In recognition of her contributions to music and visual artistry, Katy Perry was honored with the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards Video Vanguard Award. She delivered a medley of her biggest hits, including CALIFORNIA GURLS, at the ceremony held on September 11th, 2024.
