KiDi in an interview with Sika Osei on Lynx TV, has debunked claims of having liver disorder after releasing a song titled I Lied. KiDi, over the past few months, has been in the news for having stroke after he cancelled his USA Tour citing some personal reasons.
The Gyal Dem Sugar stated empathetically that he has no sickness as rumours claim.
However, his reasons for putting a hold on his USA tour was for a break he thought he deserves after he had been making music for over 7 years without any rest. This he saw when he was performing on stage in Belize when he felt a disconnect within himself.
"I was on stage performing and I saw that something wasn't right, I wasn't feeling great. I always told myself that music is my first love, my purpose, my passion. At any point if I am doing it and I'm not enjoying it I need to take a step back and assess what has actually happened. So at Belize, I felt a disconnect between me and what I was doing and I realized that since I came into the industry, I haven't taken a break. I realized it was taking a toll on me, I felt burnt out, I realized that there was a need for me to set back and heal. "
After some months of break from music as well as social media, the 2022 VGMA Artiste of the Year announced his comeback to the music scenes with a new song titled I Lied which talks about some of the struggles he is going through. In the interview he stated that he made the song for everyone going through issues that they cannot always talk about but not that he has a problem with his liver.
"I've realized that for the past couple of years every single person that I have spoken to is going through something. I don't know a single person that I have spoken to who has life figured out and are genuinely happy. Everybody is going through something, I felt this was the perfect time. I was also going through my own thing and it was the perfect time to resonate with everybody around the world who is going through things"
KiDi has however performed at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards over the weekend, surprising a lot of people.
