A Ghanaian law firm, Blay & Associates, has reportedly taken legal action against Afrofuture Ltd and Culture Management Group, accusing the two companies of allegedly refusing to settle outstanding legal fees.
The development was made public by New York–based Ghanaian DJ and creative industry commentator Ebenezer Donkoh, popularly known as NY DJ, who shared details of the case on social media. According to the post, the suit is titled Blay & Associates v Afrofuture Ltd and Culture Management Group.
Court documents circulating online indicate that the case is before the Commercial Division of the High Court in Accra. Blay & Associates is listed as the plaintiff, while Afrofuture Ltd and Culture Management Group are named as defendants/respondents.

Law Suit
The documents further suggest that the law firm is seeking legal redress over what it claims is the defendants’ failure or refusal to pay for legal services rendered. An order for substituted service has reportedly been granted by the court, allowing legal documents to be served through alternative means, including electronic communication and social media platforms.
As of the time of this report, neither Afrofuture Ltd nor Culture Management Group has publicly responded to the allegations or issued an official statement addressing the lawsuit.
The case has sparked conversation within Ghana’s creative and events industry, particularly given Afrofuture’s prominence as an international cultural brand associated with major festivals and global events. Legal observers note that the outcome of the case could have broader implications for professional service agreements within the creative economy.
The matter is expected to proceed in court as both parties prepare to make their respective arguments.
