Mr. Eazi took to Twitter on Monday, February 6th 2023, to call out Latino megastar Bad Bunny for infringing on the intellectual property of EmPawa artiste Joeboy.
According to Mr. Eazi, Bad Bunny recorded a Joeboy song without first obtaining clearance from the label and the artiste.
You need to tell your lawyers to stop messing around and clear that Joeboy rip-off on your album, Yo @sanbenito, the tweet reads.

Mr. Eazi subsequently added a YouTube link to the song in question in another tweet, attempting to support his claim.
The EmPawa CEO did not limit his complaints to Twitter, instead he took to LinkedIn to elaborate on the copyright infringement. Mr. Eazi complained on his LinkedIn page about Bad Bunny and his label's failure to clear the song. He went on to say that he thought their actions were disrespectful and condescending.

The music mogul also clarified statements on Twitter about paying Aunty, a known Tiktok sensation for using her voice in one of his songs. According to him he paid the lifetime royalties together with publishing for using the vocals of the woman.

As of the time of publication, Bad Bunny's camp is yet to respond to the allegations.
