Ghanaian musician, Francine Kouffie, popularly known as Fantana, has made her first appearance as the only Ghanaian in a Television Series on Netflix produced by Peace Hyde and titled Young, Famous and African.
In an interview on Culture Daily, Fantana said it was a nice experience working with people from other countries in Africa and also as the only young person among the cast. The 25-year-old artiste further said during the 4 months of production she built friendships and attachments.
"I got to see everybody with different personalities because I had never met anybody. I only knew Swanky from Nigeria personally. The filming was nice. It was a lot but fun."
The Afro Dancehall songstress continued that she believes her branding and personality is what moved Peace Hyde to include her in the series' season two. She further said people love her personality and will like to watch her being real which also influenced her inclusion into Young, Famous and African.
Young, Famous and African hit Netflix in 2022 with season one featuring famous African personalities from Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Uganda. Peace Hyde was applauded amidst many reviews upon it's release and questions asked about the exclusion of Ghanaians as cast.
However, the streaming giant, Netflix, released the trailer of the series' second season and this saw some new faces including, Ghanaian musician Fantana, Bonang Matheba from South Africa and Luis Munana from Namibia.
Young, Famous and African will be premiered on 19thMay, 2023 on Netflix.

The fallout was huge, the record deal collapsed and Cooke was told, “Mike, you’re not ready for the big time.”
