Okyeame Kwame

Okyeame Kwame shared a heartwarming story during his interview on 3Music TV. He reminisced about his journey, expressing gratitude for his wife, Louisa, who inspired many of his love songs over the past 15 years. His hit single, FAITHFUL was especially influenced by their relationship.

He recalled a pivotal moment in Nigeria, where he resisted temptation while on tour. Despite being encouraged to pursue casual encounters, Okyeame chose to remain faithful to Louisa, who was then his girlfriend. This experience inspired the song FAITHFUL, which became a tribute to their commitment.

Reflecting on the creative process, Okyeame revealed that some of his most memorable lyrics were freestyled, not meticulously planned. His son's admiration for his rap skills reminded him of the joy of spontaneous expression.

Regarding his career longevity, Okyeame attributed his success to divine guidance and nurturing relationships. He emphasized the importance of maintaining genuine connections and balancing work with family responsibilities.

In terms of diet, Okyeame follows a plant-based lifestyle, avoiding all animal products. He finds this approach beneficial for his health and wellbeing, aligning with his values of sustainability and compassion. He revealed his preference for a plant-based diet, highlighting how many traditional Ghanaian foods are already plant-based, like gari and koko, before they were modified with meat and eggs. He emphasized the nutritional benefits of plant-based foods, explaining that they contain all the essential nutrients our bodies need. Despite his own lifestyle choice, he respects his family's preferences, acknowledging that while his wife leans towards vegetarianism, his children are hearty meat-eaters.

Delving deeper into the ethical aspects, Okyeame Kwame expressed empathy for animals, citing the disturbing realities of industrial farming practices. He shared his journey of discovering the harsh realities of livestock farming, from the mass killing of male chicks to the artificial insemination of cows. Reflecting on the sentience of animals and their capacity for pain, he made a passionate case for adopting a more compassionate approach to food choices. Ultimately, Okyeame Kwame's message resonates with a call for mindfulness and empathy in our dietary decisions, urging us to consider the impact of our choices on both animals and the environment.

Through his interview, Okyeame Kwame shared insights into his artistry, personal values, and journey as a musician, offering fans a deeper understanding of his life both on and off the stage.
