The Afro Nation Portugal 2026 festival has officially unveiled a star-studded lineup ahead of its return to Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Algarve, taking place from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5, 2026.
Among the global heavyweights announced, Ghana is proudly represented by iconic duo R2Bees, as the festival prepares one of its most electrifying celebrations of Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B, Hip Hop and dance music yet. The three-day beach festival will once again bring together top artistes from across Africa, the Americas and beyond for a vibrant showcase of Black music and culture.
Leading the charge are global superstars set to headline the festival’s main Lit Stage, anchoring an already impressive lineup: Wizkid, Tyla, Asake and Gunna. These headliners set the tone for a lineup that seamlessly blends international icons with influential African acts.
Joining the headliners is a diverse roster of artistes representing multiple regions and sounds, with R2Bees standing out as Ghana’s flag bearers on one of the world’s biggest Afrobeats platforms. The acclaimed duo are set to bring their signature high-energy Hiplife and Afrobeats sound to Portugal, reinforcing Ghana’s presence on the global festival circuit.
Other confirmed Lit Stage performers include: Olamide, Mariah the Scientist, Niska, Awilo Longomba, Bien, Darkoo, Denden, Djodje, Young Jonn and more, adding further international flair and diversity.
In addition to the main stage, Afro Nation’s popular Piano People Stage returns with a strong focus on amapiano and related sounds. The lineup includes top DJs and producers such as Madumane (DJ Maphorisa), Focalistic, Amaroto, Daliwonga, Kelvin Momo, DJ Lag, DJ Tshegu, Felo Le Tee, JAZZWRLD & Thukuthela, Nkosasana Daughter, among many others.
Over the years, Afro Nation has grown into one of the most anticipated summer music festivals globally. Beyond the performances, the festival is known for its vibrant beach setting, diverse food offerings, immersive cultural moments and an atmosphere that transforms Portimão and the wider Algarve region into a global music hub.
