Taylor Swift Announces Song For Toy Story 5

Taylor Swift has announced a song for the upcoming animation Toy Story 5.

It was a rumor but the pop star confirmed it in a post on June 1, that she has recorded a song for the Disney film. 

“It’s a *Toy* Story ��You knew it! My new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Disney and @pixar’s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th,” she wrote.

The Fortnight singer revealed that it was always her dream to write for the characters of the film series that she has adored since age 5.

Swift explained that the inspiration came almost immediately after getting the chance to see the film in it early stages.

“I fell instantly in love with ‘Toy Story 5’ when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?” she said.

“Toy Story 5” hits theaters on June 19, but Swift’s fans won’t have to wait that long to listen to the new song. “I Knew It, I Knew You” will be available on June 5.

Both fans of Swift and Toy Story are eagerly waiting for the release of Toy Story 5.

Meanwhile, fans can pre-order on of the three collected editions CDs at $3.99.

The song, which was written and produced by Swift together with Jack Antonoff celebrates Swift's country roots and will be featured on the Toy Story soundtrack, to be released on June 19.
