The editorial coordinator for Ghanaweb, Edward Smith, in the Big Conversation on Culture Daily today said journalists in Ghana, especially those in the entertainment sector, should seek constant knowledge in order to educate their audience. The topic for discussion which focused on The Role Of The Media: An Opportunity For Reflections And Change had him urging entertainment journalists to evolve.
He mentioned that entertainment journalists must find a balance between informing their audience as well as educating them, further stating that journalists must understand their audience before creating or producing news content.
In discussing the opportunities that entertainment journalists have in the media space, Edward urged entertainment journalists to learn and add on to their knowledgebase like political journalists do.
