Ghanaian singer ITZ Tiffany says entrepreneurship became her primary focus during her years away from the music industry, helping her build financial stability and new skills outside entertainment.
Speaking on The Culture Daily on 3Music TV and Pluzz 89.9 FM, the singer revealed that she now operates a beauty supply business and a hospitality venture known as ITZ Box Bar.
“I have a beauty supply and then I have a bar,” she said.
According to Tiffany, her decision to focus on business was driven by a desire to create long-term opportunities beyond music.
“I like money a lot,” she said, while explaining her motivation for entering entrepreneurship.
The singer said she intentionally avoided using her celebrity status to promote her businesses during their early stages.
“When I started my business, I didn’t want people to know that it was me,” she said.
Instead, she wanted customers to discover the businesses organically.
“I wanted organic customers,” she explained.
Tiffany said she immersed herself in the day-to-day operations, sometimes serving customers personally while wearing staff uniforms.
“Sometimes I wear the uniform. Sometimes I serve,” she said.
The singer added that many customers were surprised when they realised they were being served by the musician.
The beauty business grew out of observations she made while helping her sister, a makeup artist, run training sessions.
Meanwhile, her hospitality venture was inspired by her love of music, entertainment and creating controlled social spaces.
“I like music and I like partying. How do I do that in a controlled environment? I have to create my own little thing,” she said.
Tiffany credited her family with playing an important role in the businesses. Her mother assists with operational activities while her sister currently serves as her manager.
“The best people that will want you to win is your family,” she said.
Although she is now returning to music, Tiffany suggested that entrepreneurship remains a central part of her identity.
Comparing business and music, she joked that she currently prefers business because she knows exactly what financial returns it can generate.
“For now, I’ll choose the business because I know what the money is saying,” she said.
Despite that, the singer insists she is fully committed to her comeback and plans to continue releasing music alongside her growing business interests.
