YGA O’Kenneth And Xlimkid Discuss Collaboration On 3Music TV’s Morning Show
The Big Convo
In a recent appearance on 3Music TV’s morning show, YGA O’Kenneth and Xlimkid shared insights into their collaborative project, PAIN & GLORY. O’Kenneth revealed that the collaboration stemmed from a leap of faith when Xlimkid visited the Asakaa boys' "trap house," where they create and brainstorm their music.

Xlimkid recounted bringing his music box to the house and playing some of his records, catching the attention of O’Kenneth, who joined in singing along. This chance encounter evolved into a continued collaboration, with Xlimkid becoming a part of the Asakaa collective and contributing to one of their songs.

When questioned about the decision to create a joint tape, O’Kenneth highlighted their shared understanding of the message they wanted to convey and their alignment in terms of inspiration. The ease with which they collaborated was a result of being on the same creative page.

Addressing the possibility of Xlimkid officially joining the Asakaa collective, O’Kenneth acknowledged that while nothing is finalized on paper, it's essential for Xlimkid to build an independent career rather than being a silhouette of someone else. The conversation on 3Music TV provided a glimpse into the organic collaboration between O’Kenneth and Xlimkid, emphasizing mutual creative resonance and individual artistic growth.
