AFROSON1C X Delivers Sold-Out Showcase In Accra
AFROSON1C X

AFROSON1C X delivered a compelling statement in Ghana with a sold-out live showcase at Treehouse Restaurant, Accra, uniting culture, community and forward-thinking West African music. The full-house experience underscored AFROSON1C X’s growing stature as a platform renowned for culturally grounded, high-impact showcases operating at the intersection of music, industry and emerging talent.

The night was headlined by Nigerian highlife revivalists The Cavemen alongside Ghanaian music legend Amakye Dede. Together, their performances bridged generations, celebrating the heritage and evolution of West African sound. Rich live instrumentation, nostalgia and musical excellence defined the evening, creating a deeply resonant connection with the audience.

Supporting the headliners was a dynamic lineup of emerging acts. Malaïka, 99 PHACES, Tommy WÁ, Tower, Haeven, Tsie and Yarwood. Each delivering distinctive performances that reflected the diversity and creative future of West African music. From genre-blending experimentation to emotive, soul-driven expression, the artistes energised the crowd and showcased the depth of talent shaping the region’s next wave.

Beyond the stage, AFROSON1C X emphasised education and industry development through curated panel discussions and workshops, featuring leading industry voices from Virgin Music Group, EMPIRE, Rain Labs, The Orchard, CLIP and iMullar Sound System. These sessions provided practical insights into artiste development, music distribution, global market access and the business of music. Equipping creatives with essential knowledge and tools to navigate the industry. The discussions reinforced AFROSON1C X’s commitment not only to entertainment, but to empowering the broader West African music ecosystem.

Complementing the programme, one-stop music distribution platform WAVVI hosted an on-site activation showcasing its latest product offerings. The activation introduced free music distribution for West African artistes, alongside automated royalty payouts via mobile money, highlighting the growing role of technology in enabling sustainable creative careers across the region.

Following its sold-out success in Accra and building on showcase appearances at SXSW London and Reeperbahn Festival in 2025, AFROSON1C X continues to strengthen its position as a leading showcase platform for West Africa.
