Oprah Winfrey & Keke Palmer
Media mogul and global icon Oprah Winfrey believes that some of the best years of life come with age, wisdom and self-discovery.

During her appearance on the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, hosted by Keke Palmer, the 72-year-old shared a powerful reflection on growing older and finding confidence in oneself.

Oprah revealed that she has no desire to return to her younger years, but if she could choose an age to revisit, it would be 44.

“I think life starts at 44, because you come into yourself in a way that you’re no longer trying to please everybody else. You come into yourself,” she said.

According to the media icon, true freedom comes when people stop living for external validation and begin embracing who they are. When Keke Palmer asked what living her best life looks like, Oprah simply responded: “It looks like freedom.”

The conversation also highlighted Oprah’s perspective on solitude and self-love. She shared the memorable statement: “I’m not by myself. I’m with myself,” a reflection that resonated with many as a reminder that being alone does not always mean being lonely.

For many millennials navigating career changes, relationships and personal growth, Oprah’s words offer a message of hope, that life is not defined by a specific timeline and that some of the most fulfilling chapters can begin when people fully understand themselves.

At 72, Oprah continues to champion the idea that growth, confidence and happiness are lifelong journeys, proving that every stage of life can bring a new beginning.
