“Be As Good As Me” — C-Real On The Secret To Winning Rap Battles

Ghanaian rapper and radio personality C-Real has shared his thoughts on what it takes to win a rap battle, boldly suggesting that the best strategy is simply to be as good as him.

Speaking during a conversation on Beefs and Battles, Ghana’s Biggest Artiste Rivalries on The Culture Daily, hosted by Culture Squad, the conversation explored some of the most notable rivalries and battles in Ghanaian music.

When asked about the best strategy for winning a rap battle, C-Real responded confidently, “Be as good as me.”

He went on to recount his experience battling some of the biggest names in Ghanaian and African rap, claiming that he once faced 16 of Ghana’s best rappers in a single day and emerged without anyone being able to defeat him.

According to C-Real, he has also gone up against 18 of the best rappers on the African continent, insisting that none of them survived the lyrical confrontation.

“I had a beef with 16 of the best rappers in Ghana on the same day and nobody survived. I had 18 of the best rappers on the continent and nobody survived. Maybe you can Google my name to find out.”

C-Real further challenged the names mentioned during the discussion to test their skills against him, saying they had reached out to him to ask whether he was willing to battle them.

His comments have once again highlighted the competitive nature of rap beefs, where lyrical ability, delivery and the confidence to stand behind one’s bars often determine who comes out on top.
