Billboard has unveiled its 2025 Global Power Players list, spotlighting executives shaping the music industry’s thriving landscape outside the U.S. Highlighting figures like YBNL’s Olamide, who emerged as a trailblazer for African music, the list celebrates leaders behind artistes like Billie Eilish, Teddy Swims, and Karol G.

The global recorded-music industry, growing for the 10th consecutive year, owes its success to these visionaries, with companies like Reservoir, Blue Raincoat, and BMG earning spots for executives such as Fred Gillham and Alistair Norbury. Among the standout names, Nigerian artiste and YBNL CEO Olamide Baddo was recognized for his pivotal role in elevating Afrobeats globally.

The list also includes BLACKPINK’s Rosé, Lisa, and Jennie, acknowledged for their influence,
Australian executives Jaime Gough and Matt Gudinski for their contributions to Mushroom Group, showcasing the list’s diverse geographic reach. Songwriting camps in Ghana and South Africa, further underscore the global scope of these power players’ impact.

The 2025 list, previously known as International Power Players, reflects a dynamic industry, with Concord’s Kim Frankiewicz and Tina Funk among those praised for driving artiste success. Billboard’s recognition, emphasizes the executives’ role in navigating a competitive market.

As the industry prepares for events like the Billboard Canada Power Players reveal on June 11, 2025, at NXNE Festival, the global influence of these leaders continues to shape music’s future, inspiring fans and artistes worldwide.
