BLACKPINK’s Rosé dropped the highly anticipated music video for her single MESSY, featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming Hollywood film F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski. Released via Atlantic Records, the track marks Rosé’s first cinematic soundtrack contribution and follows her chart-topping solo album ROSIE.

The video, which shut down the Las Vegas Strip during filming, intertwines Rosé’s captivating performance with exclusive footage from F1, starring Brad Pitt and Kerry Condon. Fans have celebrated the release, with posts praising her emotive vocals and stunning visuals, amassing over 4 million YouTube views within hours. 

The MESSY video showcases Rosé navigating iconic Las Vegas cityscapes, from glistening streets to a high-rise terrace, while singing about obsessive love. Co-written by Rosé, Cleo Tighe, Delacey, Matthew James Burns, and Peter Rycroft, the track blends anthemic percussion and piano, reflecting the high-octane energy of F1. 

Scenes of Rosé in a blue-lit room with falling confetti and water droplets evoke the song’s themes of drowning in passion, seamlessly integrated with clips of Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, a retired racer. The video’s cinematic quality has sparked buzz, with fans noting its alignment with the film’s aesthetic.

As the fifth track on F1 The Album, set for release on June 27 alongside the film’s theatrical debut, MESSY joins contributions from Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Burna Boy, and Tate McRae, curated by Atlantic Records’ Kevin Weaver. Rosé’s involvement, announced on May 1, 2025, follows her appearance at the Miami Grand Prix, where she waved the chequered flag and mingled with Lewis Hamilton, a producer on the film. 

The release has fueled excitement for Rosé’s solo career and BLACKPINK’s upcoming 2025 world tour, with fans calling MESSY a “chart-buster” that cements her global influence. The single is available for streaming, offering a thrilling preview of F1’s star-studded soundtrack.
