Blackway Featured On Forthcoming Busta Rhymes Album
Blackway

US-based Ghanaian rapper, Blackway, saw his hit record WHAT'S UP DANGER off the Grammy-nominated soundtrack for SPIDER-MAN INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE receive an RIAA Certified Gold plaque after selling over 500,000 units in the US alone. After dropping a few speaker-knocking singles to end 2019, Blackway spent the first four months of 2020 in Ghana recording music and entertaining fans with viral freestyles and EP snippets showcasing his rap skills.

During his time in Ghana, he recruited and collaborated with a few of the big Ghanaian Hip-Hop acts like E.L and M.anifest for his upcoming EP NEW YHANA 2, worked on solely by ace Ghanaian producer, Mike Millz. Seeing an opportunity to not only rap with one of his inspirations but also reintroduce one of the the legends he grew up listening to back to the African Hip-Hop scene, he took a chance with reaching out to Busta Rhymes for a verse to complete the project. This collaboration birthed the drill influenced club banger with Blackway throwing off clever punchlines and wordplay amidst some fast-paced lyricism from Busta Rhymes.

Fast forward to 2023, an announcement by Busta Rhymes on his forthcoming album has revealed that the young Ghanaian star is featured on the 10th track of the album but also has writing credits on the 12th track which features legendary American artiste, Chris Brown. The album also features a host of other talented artistes including the likes of Coi Leray, Young Thug, Burna Boy and several others.
