Ghanaian artiste and Legendary Records signee, Eugene Amponsem Boakye, popularly known as Boy Octave is set to release his newest single titled CHANGE. The multitalented multi-genre artiste as he likes to refer to himself is a native of Akropong Akuapem and is currently getting an education in the University of Ghana, following his secondary education at St. John's School in the Western region of Ghana.
Keen on becoming the best version of himself, Boy Octave, an exuberant musician and producer draws his inspiration from artistes like WizKid, Nat King Cole, Sarkodie, Maleek Berry and Ace Hood amongst several other talented artistes. He is as good a songwriter as he is a producer and sound engineer with a knack for making music of the Afrofusion genre.

Discovering his talent to sing at the tender age of 4, Boy Octave has grown to understand and accept music as his earthly calling having been exposed to music from West Life, R Kelly, UB 40, Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson, Nat King Cole and Bob Marley amongst others by courtesy of his father's Saturday special playlists which in turn broadened his knowledge and understanding of sound. He recalls singing together with his sisters and spending time in church singing with the choir.

His undeniable talents have earned him the opportunity to work with some very popular artistes, from Asakaa Boys, Yaw Tog, Afezi Perry, Kofi Jamar, Erixrush, Vondee, MKay, Bimma, Exo Xan, Sirgy, Mc Ray, to Sachaforever, Kelvin Meekell, Quamina MP, Ntelabi and Ben K.

His song CHANGE is Octave's own interpretation of life and the journey ahead. It acknowledges the uncertainties that come with life while rehashing the need to maintain focus no matter the circumstances that may arise in order to see dreams come to fruition. The song goes on to motivate listeners to keep their heads up in expectation of the light at the end of the tunnel.
